VIDEO: CID hasn’t invited me over journalist’s murder – Ken Agyapong

Member of Parliament for Assin Central in the Central region has denied media reports that the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service has officially invited him over the murder of investigative journalist, Ahmed Hussein-Suale.

The deceased was shot three times, twice in the chest and another in the neck late last night at Madina while driving home by unidentified men riding a motorbike.

The Assin Central MP has been linked to his sudden demise after he allegedly ordered his staff to beat Ahmed Hussein-Suale up when he comes to his radio station at Madina.

Ken Agyapong, known to be very outspoken, has come under intense attack after the brutal murder of the investigative journalist.

Given this backdrop, he was said to have been invited by the police to aid in Investigations to unravel circumstances leading to the killing.

But speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Thursday afternoon, Ken Agyapong said the false report was part of a grand scheme by Anas and his team to divert attention.

“Anas and his team are aware of the guy’s death that is why they want to divert attention of the police,” he claimed.

The Assin Central MP maintained that the young journalist never offended him whiles alive so he could never have been part of a plot to kill him.

Ken Agyapong said though he will be travelling this week, he will readily avail himself for any investigations if invited by the police.
