President Nana Akuffo Addo has described the passing of Sir John as shocking and disbelief.
The late Sir John until his demise was the CEO of the Forestry Commission. He also occupied the chief scribe portfolio of the New Patriotic Party before the party returned to power in 2017.
President Akuffo Addo in a tweet, described his former friend as, “Energetic, ebullient, Jovial, with an exceptional sense of humour and possessing a limitless store of folktales and proverbs, he affected positively every person with whom he came into contact. He was truly unforgettable, and our party and government owe him an immense debt for his work and commitment”.
Sources say the late Sir John allegedly lost his sister through coronavirus few days before his untimely demise.
