Tens of thousands of Ghanaians are on the street of Accra today protesting against economic hardship under president Akufo-Addo government.
The protest is dubbed “Kum Yen Preko” meaning “kill us now”.
The protesters say they are unhappy with the state of insecurity, attack on media freedom among others.
Groups that have shown interest to participate include the Minority caucus in Parliament, the Greater Accra Market Women Association, the Concerned Drivers Union, True Drivers Union, Free Media Vanguard, the Coalition for National Sovereignty, disgruntled MenzGold customers and unpaid customers of Gold Coast Fund Management.
