*NDC Diaspora Members Call for Inclusion in Government Appointments*
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) diaspora chapters have expressed concerns over the lack of representation in government appointments, despite their unwavering support for the party. In an open letter to the NDC leadership and appointments committee, the diaspora members urged the party to recognize their contributions and include them in government appointments.
The NDC diaspora has been instrumental in providing financial, logistical, and moral support to the party during campaigns, elections, and other key activities. However, the continued exclusion of diaspora members from government appointments risks discouraging members, damaging morale, and undermining future participation in NDC activities.
The diaspora members emphasized that their contributions deserve acknowledgment through appointments and roles in governance. They warned that disheartened members are less likely to engage actively in campaigns, fundraising, and voter mobilization efforts, which are critical to securing victory in future elections.
The NDC USA Youth Wing Leadership, on behalf of the NDC diaspora chapters, appealed to the appointments committee and the leadership of the NDC to act decisively and fairly by including competent diaspora chapter members in government appointments. This move, they believe, will strengthen the bond between the party and its international supporters, demonstrate that loyalty, hard work, and sacrifice are recognized and rewarded, and encourage greater engagement and commitment.
The NDC diaspora chapters remain committed to supporting the party adding that they needed to see that their efforts are valued and that they are given the opportunity to contribute directly to the party’s governance agenda.

*OPEN LETTER TO THE NDC LEADERSHIP AND APPOINTMENTS COMMITTEE*
To:
*The Leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)*
*Attn: Appointments Committee*
*Subject: Urgent Appeal for Inclusion of Diaspora NDC Members in Government Appointments*
Dear Esteemed Leaders of the NDC,
On behalf of the members of the NDC diaspora chapters, I write to express the collective concerns of thousands of dedicated party faithful who have worked tirelessly to support the party’s mission and vision from across the globe.
Over the years, the NDC diaspora has stood firmly behind the party, providing unwavering financial, logistical, and moral support during campaigns, elections, and other key activities. This commitment has been integral to the party’s resilience and success, both in government and opposition.
However, we are growing increasingly concerned about the lack of inclusion of diaspora members in the appointments within the current government. While we continue to support the party unconditionally, this lack of representation risks discouraging our members, damaging morale, and undermining future participation in NDC activities.
Key Concerns:
1. *Morale and Future Participation*: The continued exclusion of diaspora members creates a perception of neglect, which could demotivate the very people who have sacrificed time and resources to champion the party’s cause abroad.
2. *Electoral Implications*: Disheartened members are less likely to engage actively in campaigns, fundraising, and voter mobilization efforts, all of which are critical to securing victory in future elections.
3. *Recognition of Contributions*: Many diaspora members have gone above and beyond to ensure the party remains vibrant and relevant internationally. Their contributions deserve acknowledgment through appointments and roles in governance.
*Our Appeal:*
We respectfully urge the Appointments Committee and the leadership of the NDC, under the guidance of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, to act decisively and fairly by including competent diaspora chapter members in government appointments. This move will:
• Strengthen the bond between the party and its international supporters.
• Demonstrate that loyalty, hard work, and sacrifice are recognized and rewarded.
• Encourage greater engagement and commitment, ultimately benefitting the party’s long-term prospects.
The NDC Diaspora stands ready to continue its unwavering support for the party. However, we need to see that our efforts are valued and that we are given the opportunity to contribute directly to the party’s governance agenda.
We trust that our concerns will be taken seriously and that action will be taken to ensure the continued unity, strength, and vibrancy of the NDC both at home and abroad.
Sincerely,
*NDC USA YOUTH WING LEADERSHIP*
On behalf of the NDC Diaspora Chapters
