The acting communications director of the embattled gold dealership firm, MenzGold Ghana Limited, Nii Armah Amateifio disclosed yesterday on Asempa fm, an Accra based radio station that, his boss, had left Ghana for his own security.
Nii Armah Amateifio was quick to add that, for the protection of his life, he couldn’t disclose the exact location or country, NAM1 was residing.
Other sources have confirmed that, NAM1 is not in Ghana. It is said, he fled Ghana with his nuclear family for their protection.
Yesterday, a court warrant was issued to seek the arrest of the MenzGold CEO, Nana Appiah Mensah.
The Ghanaian authorities would have no option than to solicit the services of Interpol to help them apprehend NAM1.
This situation can only be avoidable should, he, NAM1 decides to return to Ghana voluntarily to report himself.
Some directors of MenzGold were also issued with a bench warrant for their arrest. The coming days will be interesting as most depositors continue to ask questions when the troubled firm would pay their principals invested in the gold dealership firm.
