Former Inspector General of Police (IGP) John Kudalor believes his donation of some 100 plastic chairs to the Agona East constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) shouldn’t make him a Father Christmas.
According to him, people should not misconstrue his generous donation to mean that he’s now into philanthropy for them to line up to knock on his doors for help.
The former Police Boss has explained that he was just touched to make the donation to the party’s activities in the constituency he hails from.
Commenting on the issue of Citi News, Mr. Kudalor said he finds it difficult to understand why this small donation has grabbed media headlines as it is insignificant.
“This is no news, there are people of my level who have come up wanting to be chairmen of political parties and contesting as candidates so I don’t see why Kudalor donates 100 chairs is news. I don’t think it is news since I left office people have called to say Kudalor did this and it’s positive.”
“A hundred chairs are just few that is what my heart touched me to do and anytime I feel like doing something I will do it but I’m not some father Christmas, hundred chairs is nothing to me it is not news at all,” Mr. Kudalor added.
