One of Ghana’s oldest private radio stations based in the capital city is under attack by the Nana Addo government.
The emergence of Asaase Radio operating on the frequency 99.5MHz was seen by many media watchers as a clear indication by government to disrupt Joyfm’s broadcast.
It is worth noting that the chairman of the National Communications Authority, Kweku Sakyi Addo who used to work at Joyfm is now billed to host his own Sunday show at Asaase Radio.
Asaase Radio is owned by persons close to the president, Nana Addo.
Will the NCA give credence to Joyfm’s complaints?
See the letter sent to the frequency regulator, NCA cited by Ghanamatters.com on the super stations website.
This is a developing story…
