President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed new set of top Managers for the National Youth Authority (NYA) barely a week after firing three others.
MyNewsGh.com understand that the Ashanti Regional Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nelson Owusu Ansah as the Deputy Chief Executive (CEO) of the NYA in charge of operations, while another person is set to be named as Finance and Administration.
It is not known who is yet to be appointed as the substantive acting CEO of the authority pending approval.
It would be recalled that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo last week dismissed the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Youth Authority (NYA) Emmanuel Sin-nyet Asigri and his two deputies Mr. Richard Ebbah Obeng and Bright Acheampong.
The move followed a failure by the former to succumb to pressure from the Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare to resign after a meeting over allegations of procurement breaches.
A letter sighted by MyNewsGh.com reads in part “I regret to inform you that the President of the Republic has terminated your appointment,” Sports minister Isaac stated in the termination letter.
He added “Please ensure that you hand over and cease to act” not later than close of business on Wednesday, 4th September, 2019.
They were all directed to hand over to Director of Technical Projects of the Authority, Emmanuel Anaman-Mensah.
