Bagbin consoles families of Winneba accident victims

Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament and a flagbearer aspirant of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Alban Sumana Kingsford  Bagbin has commiserated with the families of the two young men who died in the fatal accident involving his driver.

He visited the homes of the late Emmanuel Awadzi (27) and Kwame Acquah (25) who died instantly when they allegedly  run into a car driven by Charles Owusu, a driver of Mr. Bagbin’s campaign car.

Mr. Bagbin rushed down to Winneba from the Upper West Region, where he was mourning a late cousin to commiserate with the families.

The driver according to members of the campaign team was sent to deliver campaign posters to the Central Region when the incident happened.

A crash with the Bagbin campaign car at Winneba resulted in their instant deaths.

Upon reaching Winneba on Monday, the senior Legislator, first got in touch with the Winneba District Police for briefing on what exactly happened, before visiting the houses of the bereaved families to commiserate with them.

“Only Almighty God knows why certain things are beyond human understanding, I will like to thank the good people of Winneba for their wonderful reception, may God watch over them and bless them” Mr Bagbin said.

The Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament was joined on the commiseration by Sylvester Mensah, former Chief Executive of then National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA).

Mr. Bagbin was also accompanied by some members of his campaign team including; Mrs Jemilatu Ibrahim, a businesswoman and a leading member of the NDC in Sisala East and Mr. Stephen Ashitey Adjei alias Moshake, Executive Member of Tema East NDC.
