How to naturally heal a peeling skin

Cucumber contains plenty of water that can keep the skin hydrated, as well as alleviate irritation and itching.

Victoria Karungi of beauty world salon says skin peeling is a common problem and is caused by several things including skin rashes and skin reactions caused by chemicals over exposure to the sun among others.

Olive oil
The oil coats the skin and locks in moisture. Warm some extra-virgin olive oil and gently rub on the affected area until the oil penetrates deep into the skin.

This can be done daily, until your skin condition improves.

You can also make a body scrub by adding salt and olive oil together to form a paste, then use it as a body scrub to exfoliate dead skin cells.

Cucumber
Cucumber contains plenty of water that can keep the skin hydrated, as well as alleviate irritation and itching. Cut a fresh cucumber into thick slices.

Rub them on the affected area and leave the cucumber on for some time. Wash with lukewarm water and massage with olive oil.

You can also grate cucumber and apply the paste on the affected skin.

Lemon and sugar scrub
Lemon has the ability to dissolve dead skin cells and can help reduce skin peeling. It contains healing and soothing properties that are good for the skin.

Mix some sugar, lemon juice and a tablespoon of honey and olive oil then apply the mixture on the affected area of the skin and let it rest some time before you can wash off with cold water.

Soak in warm water
If it is your hands or feet peeling you can soak them in warm water for 30 minutes every day.

It makes the skin on your hands and feet soften and the dry skin will start coming off.

You can also add some honey and lemon juice to the water and apply olive oil thereafter.
