An ambulance believed to belong to the Ayawaso Central Constituency in the Greater Accra has been left to rot in a bush at Assin Kwame Atta in the Assin South District of the Central Region.
Information gathered by Kasapa FM News Yaw Boagyan indicates that the ambulance was involved in an accident at Assin Kwame Atta in January 2019 while carrying a patient from Assin Fosu to Accra.
It is unclear who has to attend to the abandoned vehicle and transport it for repairs.
The abandoned ambulance is now serving as a bill board with some political parties and aspirants posting their campaign posters on the vehicle.
Poster of the Member of Parliament for Assin South Constituency Hon. Rev. John Ntim Fordjour who is also contesting for this year’s elections and the Member of Parliament for Awayaso Central Constituency posters can be seen posted on the ambulance.
The residents have urged the Assin South District Assembly to come for the ambulance and renovate it for use because there is only one ambulance in the District but it seems the authorities are yet to act.
