WhatsApp announced that over 5 million businesses are using its WhatsApp Business app launched a year ago.
To mark the one-year anniversary, the company said it’s expanding some of the most popular features of WhatsApp Business to its web and desktop interface to support further use.
These features include Quick Replies, which businesses can set up to answer common questions with a shortcut command on the keyboard; Labels, to organize contacts or chats with labels; and Chat List Filtering, to manage chats with filters to sort by unread messages, groups or broadcast lists.
The idea behind WhatsApp Business, a free Android app designed for businesses, is to make it easier for companies to establish a profile on the messaging platform and to connect with customers, and for WhatsApp users to chat with businesses.
