The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has apologised to the beneficiaries over the delay in releasing their fees for the 2017/2018 academic year.
According to the Trust, about GHS78 million has been paid for the 2017/2018 academic year.
Speaking to Accra-based Citi FM on Friday, 23 November, the PRO for the Trust, George Ferguson Laing stated that payment has begun.
“We are paying. For the 2017/2018 academic year, we’ve already paid about GHS78 million, so, there’s been a delay and I would like to apologise for the delay but we’ve started paying.”
Mr Ferguson Laing also assured the beneficiaries that they will all get their disbursements in the “in the next couple of weeks”.
“We’ve already started. I can tell you that this week, we paid an amount and we are doing it in batches”, he added.
