Police interrogate Kennedy Agyapong, demand NET2 TV recording

Assin Central MP, Kennedy Agyapong, has been questioned by the Police CID over last Wednesday night’s gruesome murder of investigative journalist, Ahmed Hussein-Suale, a key member of the private investigative firm, Tiger Eye PI.

The police’s questioning of the New Patriotic Party member of parliament is in relation to a video circulating on various social media platforms in which Mr Agyapong is purported to have called on the public to assault Ahmed, the now slain journalist who is an associate of ace investigator cum journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

In excerpts of the viral video, Mr Ken Agyapong who appears to be on a show on his television station, NET2 Television, displayed pictures of Ahmed, and described him as a dangerous man and told viewers that he lived in Madina.

Mr Agyapong is also heard in the widely circulated video charging the public to assault Ahmed and that he was ready to pay for the consequences.

When contacted, the Director General of the Public Affairs Directorate of the Ghana Police Service, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Mr David Eklu confirmed that the police had interviewed Mr Agyapong.

However, he said Mr Agyapong, who has already denied any link to the murder, told the police that the video which was in circulation was not a true representation of what he said as it was not the full version.

Mr Eklu said the police have, therefore, requested NET2 Television to submit the full version of the video to the police for its analysis.
